To confirm the appointment of Kamilah Martin-Proctor to the Board oflntegrative Healthcare.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
resolution may be cited as the "Board of Integrative Healthcare Kamilah Martin-Proctor
Confirmation Resolution of 2025".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of: .

as a consumer member of the Board of Integrative Healthcare, established by section 224 of the
District of Columbia Health Occupations Revisions Act of 1985, effective July 19, 2024 (D.C.
Law 25-191; D.C. Official Code§ 3-1202.24), filling a new seat, for a term of three years.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Ms. K
amilah Martin -Proctor is the founder of the Martin Multiple
Sclerosis Alliance Foundation (MMSAF) . She was diagnosed with
Multiple Sclerosis when she was sixteen. She founded the MMSAF in
2004 to promote symptom awareness and education about Multiple
Sclerosis in historically underserved populations.
Mrs. Martin - Proctor worked for the Charles B. Rangel International
Affairs Program at Howard University and the District of Columbia’s
Government Neighborhood Services Initiative as Legislative
Correspondent. One of Ms. Martin-Proctor’s greatest accomplishments is
serving on the National Council on Disability under the Obama
administration.
A Ward 4 resident, Ms. Martin-Proctor earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and
her Master of Arts in Organizational & Cultural Communication from Howard University.
