Plain English Breakdown

The official source material does not specify that the resolution will be sent to the Mayor upon adoption; however, it states that the Council shall transmit a copy to the nominee (Frank Sanders, Jr.) and to the Mayor upon its adoption. The candidate explanation incorrectly implies this is a requirement rather than an action taken by the Council.
