A RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

July 14, 2025

To confirm the reappointment of Paul Ashton to the Police Complaints Board.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Police Complaints Board Paul Ashton Confirmation Resolution
of 2025”.

Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Paul Ashton
Hamlin Street, NE
Washington, DC 20017
(Ward 5)

as the Ward 5 member of the Police Complaints Board, established by section 5 of the Office of
Citizen Complaint Review Establishment Act of 1998, effective March 26, 1999 (D.C. Law 12-
208; D.C. Official Code § 5-1104), for a term to end January 12, 2028.

Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.

Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
