effective December 7, 2004 (D.C. Law 15-216; D.C. Official Code § 2- 1404.03), I am pleased to

A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the appointment of Amy Rofman as a member of the Commission on Human Rights.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Human Rights Amy Rofman Confirmation
Resolution of 2025".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

as a member of the Commission on Human Rights, established by section 401 of the Human
Rights Act of 1977, effective December 7, 2004 (D.C. Law 15-216; D .C. Official Code§ 2-
1404.01), filling a vacant seat formerly held by Lauren Lowery, for the remainder of an
unexpired term to end December 31, 2026.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Amy Rofman

Ms. Amy Rofman currently serves as a consultant for Office of Civil
Rights and Civil Liberties in the Department of Homeland Security. Ms.
Rofman has dedicated her career to analysis, diplomacy, policy,
leadership, and management of complex projects in the field of human
rights. She has worked with officials in the United States and in countries
around the world, as well as with private sector firms, to improve
responses to human rights violations and other global human rights
concerns.
Prior to her current role , Ms. Rofman served as the Vice President of
Strategic Engagement at the Warnath Group, completed 15 years of US
State Department service, and served on the leadership team of a
pathbreaking human rights NGO.
A Ward 3 resident, Ms. Rofman earned her Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from
Georgetown University and her Master of Public Administration from George Washington
University.
