A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the reappointment of Lisa Geller to the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board Lisa Geller
Confirmation Resolution of 2025".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Washington, DC 20008
(Ward 3)
as a community representative member of the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board,
established by D.C. Official Code§ 16-1052, for a term to end July 20, 2028.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee, and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

isa Geller
Ms.
Lisa Geller, MPH, is the Director of Implementation at the Johns
Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions and the Co- Lead of the
National ERPO Resource Center (ERC). Her work focuses on research,
advocacy, and implementation of evidence -based gun violence
prevention policies, including extreme risk protection orders and
domestic violence protective orders. As the co-lead of the ERC, Ms.
Geller provides training and technical assistance to law enforcement,
prosecutors, judges, clinicians, community organizations, and others
involved in the ERPO process.
Previously, Ms. Geller held multiple roles at the Educational Fund to Stop
Gun Violence, rising from the intern level to the State Affairs Manager
position.
A Ward 3 resident, Ms. Geller earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master of Public Health in health policy and injury and violence
prevention from Johns Hopkins University.
