RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this 17
resolution may be cited as the “Chief Medical Examiner Francisco Diaz Confirmation Resolution 18
of 2026”. 19
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of: 20

as Chief Medical Examiner, established by section 2903 of the Establishment of the Office of the 27
Chief Medical Examiner Act of 2000, effective October 19, 2000 (D.C. Law 13-172; D.C. 28
Official Code § 5-1402), for a term to end April 30, 2031. 29
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, 30
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor. 31
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. 32
