In accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-
142; D.C. Official Code§ 1-523.01), and pursuant to D.C. Official Code§ 47-825.0la, I am pleased

term to end April 30, 2030.

17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Real Property Tax Appeals Commission May Chan Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2025".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Ms.
May Chan is a full-time Commissioner on the Real Property Tax
Appeals Commission (RPTAC) . She has been a member since its
inception on July 16, 2012.
Ms. Chan was previously involved in both the Shaw and Mount Vernon
Triangle neighborhoods. After completing her service on the board of the
Shaw Community Development Fund, she continued to serve on the
Transportation Subcommittee and the Washington Convention Center
Headquarter Hotel Ad Hoc Subcommittee of the Washington Convention
Center Advisory Committee. Ms. Chan has also been a member of the
board of the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District.
A Ward 6 resident, M s. Chan earned h er Master of Business Administration from Simmons
College.
