In accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-
142; D.C. Official Code§ 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 6 of the Office of Out of School Time
Grants and Youth Outcomes Establishment Act of 2016, effective April 7, 2017 (D.C. Law 21-261;
D.C. Official Code § 2-1555.05), I am pleased to nominate the following individual:

18 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
19 resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes
20 Leandro Travieso Confirmation Resolution of 2025".
21 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

r. Leandro Travieso is currently a Program Officer at Liberty’s Promise.
In this role, he conducts the Civics and Citizenship program at Jackson
Reed High to support young immigrants in need while encouraging them
to be active and conscientious American citizens.
Before working at Liberty’s Promise, Mr. Travieso worked as a Human
Resources Administrative Assistant for UnidosUS, the largest Latino
nonprofit civil rights organization in the U.S. Additionally, he previously
worked as a Youth Development Specialist in Morocco with the United
States Peace Corps.
A Ward 3 resident, Mr. Travieso received his Bachelor of Arts in
International Relations and Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Florida International
University, and he received his Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from
American University.
