Grants and Youth Outcomes Establishment Act of 2016, effective April 7, 2017 (D.C. Law 21-261;

To confirm the appointment of GeNita Finley to the Commission on Out of School Time Grants
and Youth Outcomes.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes
GeNita Finley Confirmation Resolution of 2025".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

as a representative of an organization providing youth development programs in the District
member of the Commission on Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes, established by
section 6 of the Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes Establishment Act of
2016, effective April 7, 2017 (D.C. Law 21-261; D .C . Official Code§ 2-1555.05), filling a
vacant seat, for the remainder of an unexpired term to end November 7, 2028.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

GeNita Finley

Ms. GeNita Finley is the founder, director, and grant writer of Medical
Ascension, Compurecycling Center – a nationally-recognized healthcare
pipeline program that aims to empower the youngest community
members in Mississippi, Arkansas, District of Columbia, and Maryland
regions by promoting healthcare career readiness through clinical skills
development, leadership growth, and social maturation.
Before founding Medical Ascension, Ms. Finley worked in project
management and grant writing for a variety of non-profits and community
advancement programs. Her experience includes time at Step Up for
Mental Health, Sister Circles (community health program for Black
women), and Community & Business COVID-19 Technical Services and
Resources.
A Ward 3 resident, Ms. Finley earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Millsaps
College and Master of Science in Biology-Medical Sciences from Mississippi College.
