A RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

January 20, 2026

To appoint Ms. Doni Crawford to the vacant member-at-large seat on the Council of the District
of Columbia.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Council of the District of Columbia Member at Large Doni
Crawford Appointment Resolution of 2026”.

Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia appoints:

Ms. Doni Crawford
Maryland Avenue, NE
Washington, DC 20002
(Ward 5)

as a member at large of the Council of the District of Columbia, established by section 401(a) of
the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 785; D.C.
Official Code § 1-204.01(a)), replacing Kenyan McDuffie, to serve through the certification of
the results of the special election to fill the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term ending
January 2, 2027.

Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia makes this appointment pursuant to its
authority set forth in section 401(d)(2) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved
December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 785; D.C. Official Code § 1-204.01(d)(2)).

Sec. 4. The Council shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, to the
appointee, the Board of Elections, and the Mayor.

Sec. 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
