A RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

February 3, 2026

To authorize the General Counsel to assert the Council’s interest in obtaining certain agency
budget enhancement requests that must be furnished to the Council pursuant to section
47-318.05a of the District of Columbia Official Code.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Budget Enhancement Request Litigation Authorization
Resolution of 2026”.

Sec. 2. The Council authorizes the Council’s Office of the General Counsel to initiate,
defend, intervene, participate, or take any other action in a matter in any court or tribunal on
behalf of and in the name of the Council of the District of Columbia to assert the interest of the
Council in obtaining certain agency budget enhancement requests that must be furnished to the
Council pursuant to section 47-318.05a of the District of Columbia Official Code.

Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
