Establishment Amendment Act of 2020, effective March 16, 2021 (D.C. Law 23-184; D.C. Official

17 RESOLVED , BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Poverty Patricia Stamper Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2026".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

28 of the Commission on Poverty Establishment Amendment Act of 2020, effective March 16, 2021
29 (D.C. Law 23-184; D.C. Official Code§ 3-641.02), for a term to end No vember 18, 2028.
30 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
31 upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
32 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

s. Patricia Stamper is a special education teacher currently serving
students in Ward 8 through her role at AppleTree PCS. She is committed
to nurturing early learning and development in children East of the River
and brings a strong track record of advocating for equity in education,
student wellness, and family engagement. Her career has been
characterized by a focus on meaningful inclusion, collaborative school-
family partnerships, and improving outcomes for underserved students in
the District of Columbia.
Ms. Stamper previously served as a special education teacher at
Brandywine Elementary School in Prince George’s County and St.
Coletta Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. In addition to her
work, Ms. Stamper is passionate about keeping her neighborhood clean and adopted her block and
a nearby alley.
A Ward 7 resident, Ms. Stamper earned her Bachelor of Arts from Washington Adventist
University and her Master of Public Administration from Strayer University.
