A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the reappointment of Asha Shagle to the Board of Architecture, Interior Design, and
Landscape Architecture.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Board of Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape
Architecture Asha Shagle Confirmation Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

as a professional landscape architect licensed in the District member of the Board of
Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture, established by D .C. Official Code §
47-2853.06(a), for a term to end November 13, 2029
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

BELIEF AND STRENGTHS
Everything is connected, and every link tells a story. This
inter-multidisciplinary aspect of our profession is what
keeps me energized after twenty plus years of practice. I
believe that good design representing all influential factors
has the power to restore the spirit of a place, uplift every
individual and the collective environment.

Asha Shagle
Ms. Asha Shagle has over twenty years of experience in managing all
phases of a project, on a multitude of project scales, ranging from
masterplan, civic, urban, and private landscape projects. She believes her
global experience, with exposure and thorough understanding of laws and
ordinances at various municipalities, all focused on health, safety, and
welfare of each community are at the foundation of her work.
Ms. Shagle grew up in a vibrant culture that is deeply rooted in the arts
with reverence for all things big and small. She embraces this creative
culture, especially all aspects that are relevant to nature and community.
Ms. Shagle’s academic training both as an architect and a landscape
architect has ingrained in her to think and illustrate in fluid third
dimensions. With these foundations, she strives for holistic design through creative problem
solving.
A Ward 6 resident, Ms. Shagle earned her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the BMS College
of Engineering in Bangalore, India. Ms. Shagle additionally earned her Post Graduate Diploma in
Landscape Architecture from CEPT, School of Architecture in Ahmedabad India, her Certification
in GIS Analysis from the University of Washington, and is a Registered Landscape Architect in
the District of Columbia.
