RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this 15
resolution may be cited as the “Board of Directors of the Washington Metrorail Safety 16
Commission Brad Belzak Appointment Resolution of 2026”. 17

(“Board”), pursuant to Article III.B of section 2 of the Washington Metrorail Safety Commission 26
Establishment Act of 2016, effective April 7, 2017 (D.C. Law 21-250; D.C. Official Code § 9-27
1109.11), and the Washington Metrorail Safety Commission Board of Directors Amendment Act 28
of 2018, effective March 29, 2018 (D.C. Law 22-84; 65 DCR 1590), replacing Christopher A. 29
Hart, for a four-year term to end February 9, 2030. 30
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, 31
upon its adoption, to the appointee, to the Commission, and to the Office of the Mayor. 32
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. 33
