2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-
142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 47-2853.06(h) and Mayor’s
Order 2009-11, dated February 2, 2009, I am pleased to nominate the following individual:

filling a vacant seat formerly held by Frank Pietranton, for the remainder of an unexpired term to end

nominee, together with a proposed resolution to assist the Council during the confirmation process.

A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the appointment of Anthony Graham to the Real Estate Commission .
RESOLVED , BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA , that this
resolution may be cited as the "Real Estate Commission Anthony Graham Confirmation
Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of
Anthony Graham

as a real estate broker licensed in the District member of the Real Estate Commission,
established by D.C. Official Code§ 47-2853.06(h) as the Board of Real Estate and redesignated
as the Real Estate Commission by Mayor's Order 2009-11, dated February 2, 2009, filling a
vacant seat formerly held by Frank Pietranton, for the remainder of an unexpired term to end
December 13, 2026, and for a subsequent term to end December 13, 2029.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Maryland, and Virginia. His credentials include the NAIOP Advanced
Study in Commercial Real Estate Development, the Novogradac
Community Development Certificate, and the Graduate REALTO R®
Institute (GRI) designation.
Mr. Graham completed the Open Access Fellowship as the Tony
Goldman Fellow with the National Trust Community Investment
Corporation (NTCIC), where he gained expertise in compliance,
New Markets Tax Credits, and financial oversight. Essential
competencies f or regulatory governance, all of which reflect his deep
commitment to professional growth and technical mastery.
These certifications have equipped me to address the multifaceted regulatory and financial aspects
of the real estate sector.
During Mr. Graham’s tenure as Public Policy Chair for the DC Association of REALTORS®, to
protect property rights and housing affordability, his team secured over $165,000 in grant funding
to curate a study on DC’s 40-year-old rent control policies with Howard University. This initiative
exemplified his ability to navigate legislative frameworks, engage stakeholders, and produce data-
driven recommendations that shape policy decisions.
A Ward 5 resident, Mr. Graham earned his Bachelor of Arts in Legal Communications from
Howard University.
