American Affairs Establishment Act of 2012, effective March 14, 2012 (D.C. Law 19 -106; D.C.
Official Code § 3-1441), I am pleased to nominate the following individual:

To confirm the appointment of Janet Wright to the Commission on African-American Affairs.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA , That this
resolution may be cited as the "Commission on African-American Affairs Gloria Dunbar
Confirmation Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

as a public member of the Commission on African-American Affairs, established pursuant to
section 2 of the Commission on African-American Affairs Establishment Act of 2012, effective

held by Dorjan Short, for the remainder of an unexpired term to end July 8, 2027.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

. Gloria Dunbar is a senior transformation and governance leader with
deep experience overseeing complex, highly regulated initiatives across
healthcare, cloud computing, and global enterprise environments. She
brings a strong governance mindset shaped by leading large-scale
programs involving regulatory compliance, risk management, data
integrity, and cross functional accountability at organizations including
Amazon, F5 Networks, and major healthcare systems.
With a career spanning public sector, healthcare, and technology, Ms.
Dunbar has partnered closely with executive leadership and boards to
align strategy with execution, monitor performance against key metrics,
and ensure transparency in decision making. Her experience includes
managing multimillion dollar portfolios, establishing program management and reporting
mechanisms, and guiding organizations through digital transformation, mergers and integrations,
and evolving regulatory landscapes.
A Ward 6 resident, M s. Dunbar earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of
