A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the appointment of Dr. Stephanie Johnican to the Board of Pharmacy.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Board of Pharmacy Dr. Stephanie Johnican Confirmation
Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

as a pharmacist licensed in the District member of the Board of Pharmacy, established by section
208 of the District of Columbia Health Occupations Revision Act of 1985, effective March 25,
1986 (D.C. Law 6-99; D.C. Official Code§ 3-1202.08), filling a vacant seat formerly held by
Alan Friedman, for the remainder of an unexpired term to end March 12, 2026, and for a
subsequent term to end March 12, 2029.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

r. Stephanie Johnican is currently a Primary Care Clinical Pharmacist at
the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Previously, she
served as a Clinical Pharmacist at the Oakland VA Outpatient Clinic. Dr.
Johnican completed her residency at the Federal Bureau of Prisons and is
licensed to practice pharmacy in Kentucky, California, Maryland,
Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
A Ward 6 resident, Dr. Johnican earned her Bachelor of Science from
Kentucky State University and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Touro
University California.
