142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 412 of the Street and Alley Closing and
Acquisition Procedures Act of 1982, effective April 4, 2001 (D.C. Law 13-275; D.C. Official Code
§ 9-204.12), I am pleased to nominate the following individual:

A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the reappointment of Otto Condon to the District of Columbia Commemorative
Works Committee.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA , That this
resolution may be cited as the "District of Columbia Commemorative Works Committee Otto
Condon Confirmation Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

as a citizen member of the District of Columbia Commemorative Works Committee, established
by section 412 of the Street and Alley Closing and Acquisition Procedures Act of 1982, effective
April 4, 2001 (D.C. Law 13-275; D.C. Official Code§ 9-204.12), for a term to end July 22,
2028.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Otto has ov
er 24 years of professional experience in architecture, urban design and planning projects. He has been
extensively involved in the development of plans and projects for downtowns, neighborhoods, housing, institutions
and transit in several cities and a wide range of site-specific contexts. Relevant project experience includes mixed-use
development plans, adopted neighborhood plans, infrastructure, streetscape and public realm improvements and
low impact development projects in DC, Chicago, and Portland. Otto’s urban designs focus on solutions that address
placemaking, pedestrian priority, sustainability and complex implementation strategies.

Otto Condon

Mr. Otto Condon is an Urban Design Principal at ZGF Architects.
With over 28 years of experience, Mr. Condon has been extensively
involved in guiding master plans for the public and private sectors,
district and neighborhood groups, and transit-oriented development
across the nation. Mr. Condon’s work has provided the framework for
significant public and private investment and his urban design and
planning approach focuses on solutions that address revitalization,
placemaking, triple bottom line sustainability, strategic implementation,
and prioritization of mobility modes. Mr. Condon’s design experience
encompasses mixed-use and institutional development projects, transit
infrastructure, streetscape and public real improvements, and low impact
development projects.
Mr. Condon is professionally affiliated with the American Planning Association and the American
Institute of Certified Planners amongst several others. Mr. Condon has presented at numerous
conferences on topics ranging from architectural design to urbanization and sustainability. In
addition, he has led and participated in projects such as the Minnesota Avenue Northeast Great
Street Design and the Deanwood/Ward 7 Strategic Development Plan.
A Ward 1 resident, Mr. Condon earned his Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University
of Colorado at Boulder, his Diploma in Urban Architecture from the Universidad Autonoma
Metropolitana Xochimilco in Mexico City, and his Master of Architecture and certificate in Urban
Design from the University of Washington at Seattle.
