and Commission on Re-Entry and Ex-Offender Affairs Establishment Act of 2006, effective March 8,
2007 (D.C. Law 16-243; D.C. Official Code § 24-1303), I am pleased to nominate the following

To confirm the appointment ofDeAnthony Campbell to the Commission on Re-Entry and
Returning Citizen Affairs.
RESOLVED , BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Re-Entry and Returning Citizen Affairs
DeAnthony Campbell Confirmation Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

(Ward 8)
as a public voting member of the Commission on Re-Entry and Returning Citizen Affairs,
established by section 4 of the Office on Ex-Offender Affairs and Commission on Re-Entry and
Ex-Offender Establishment Act of 2006, effective March 8, 2007 (D.C. Law 16-243; D.C .
Official Code§ 24-1303), filling a vacant seat formerly held by Dominic Henry, for the
remainder of an unexpired term to end August 4, 2028.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Mr. DeAnthony Campbell is a Washington, DC native, entrepreneur, and

After returning home in 2025, Mr. Campbell made a deliberate

particularly in workforce access, occupational licensing, and long- term
economic mobility.
Prior to his incarceration, he served as a Building Inspector for the District
of Columbia government, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulatory standards. He also
worked as a train conductor with Amtrak, where he was responsible for passenger safety and
operational accountability. These roles required integrity, precision, and a strong understanding of
public trust.
He is currently developing a community-focused service business aimed at expanding employment
opportunities and economic stability. As a fellow in Georgetown University’s Pivot Program, he
has completed advanced coursework in entrepreneurship, business communication, and leadership
development, strengthening his ability to analyze systems challenges and contribute to practical,
data-informed solutions.
As a father and community member, he is personally committed to helping create safer, more
stable pathways for families impacted by incarceration.
Mr. Campbell believes effective re- entry policy must center dignity, accountability, and
