Affairs and Commission on Re-Entry and Ex-Offender Affairs Establishment Act of 2006, effective
March 8, 2007 (D.C. Law 16-243; D.C. Official Code § 24- 1303), I am pleased to nomin ate the

A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the reappointment of Clarence Johnson to the Commission on Re-Entry and
Returning Citizen Affairs.
RESOLVED , BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA , That this
resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Re-Entry and Returning Citizen Affairs Clarence
Johnson Confirmation Resolution of 2026".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Washington, DC 20032
(Ward 8)
as a public voting member of the Commission on Re-Entry and Returning Citizen Affairs,
established by section 4 of the Office on Ex-Offender Affairs and Commission on Re-Entry
and Ex-Offender Establishment Act of 2006, effective March 8, 2007 (D .C . Law 16-243; D.C.
Official Code§ 24-1303) for a term to end August 4, 2028.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

r. Clarence Johnson is a Cashier Assistant at Costco and a current
member of the Commission on Re-Entry and Returning Citizen Affairs.

r. Johnson is a strong community advocate and returning citizen who
has leveraged additional education and workforce development services
to successfully reintegrate into and improve the quality of life of his
community. Mr. Johnson serves as a voice and role model for
residents “East of the River .” In addition, Mr. Johnson has extensive
work experience in quality assurance, computer applications, and
industrial maintenance. He has also earned certificates in
entrepreneurship, financial systems, real estat e, and computer applications along with
certifications in chlorofluorocarbon and commercial driving.
