care facility"; authorizing consultant pharmacists to 4

owned by a hospital or by one or more physicians who 6
are employed by or contracted with a hospital; 7
providing an effective date. 8

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

Section 1. Paragraph (e) of subsection (1) of section 12
465.0125, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 13
465.0125 Consultant pharmacist license; application, 14
renewal, fees; responsibilities; rules.— 15
(1) The department shall issue or renew a consultant 16
pharmacist license upon receipt of an initial or renewal 17
application that conforms to the requirements for consultant 18
pharmacist initial licensure or renewal as adopted by the board 19
by rule and a fee set by the board not to exceed $250. To be 20
licensed as a consultant pharmacist, a pharmacist must complete 21
additional training as required by the board. 22
(e) For purposes of this subsection, the term "health care 23
facility" means an ambulatory surgical center or hospital 24
licensed under chapter 395, an alcohol or chemical dependency 25

treatment center licensed under chapter 397, an inpatient 26
hospice licensed under part IV of chapter 400, a nursing home 27
licensed under part II of chapter 400, an ambulatory care center 28
as defined in s. 408.07, or a nursing home component under 29
chapter 400 within a continuing care facility licensed under 30
chapter 651, or a health care clinic that is owned by a hospital 31
or by one or more physicians that are employed by or contracted 32
with a hospital. 33
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026. 34
