Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

Section 1. Section 782.08, Florida Statutes, is amended to 9
read: 10
782.08 Assisting self-murder; penalties.— 11
(1) A Every person who knowingly, by force or duress, 12
causes another person to commit or attempt to commit 13
deliberately assisting another in the commission of self-murder 14
commits shall be guilty of manslaughter, a felony of the first 15
second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, 16
or s. 775.084. 17
(2) A person who: 18
(a) Intentionally aids or abets another person to commit 19
or attempt to commit self-murder; 20
(b) Provides the physical means by which another person 21
commits or attempts to commit self-murder; 22
(c) Participates in the physical act by which another 23
person commits or attempts to commit self-murder; or 24
(d) Intentionally advises or encourages another person to 25

commit or attempt to commit self-murder 26
