An act relating to a review under the Open Government 2
Sunset Review Act; amending s. 252.385, F.S., which 3
provides an exemption from public record requirements 4
for the address and telephone number of persons 5
provided public emergency shelter; removing the 6
scheduled repeal date of the exemption; providing an 7
effective date. 8

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

Section 1. Subsection (5) of section 252.385, Florida 12
Statutes, is amended to read: 13
252.385 Public shelter space; public records exemption.— 14
(5) The address and telephone number of a person provided 15
public emergency shelter during a storm or catastrophic event 16
and held by the agency, as defined in s. 119.011, that provided 17
the emergency shelter is exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), 18
Art. I of the State Constitution. This subsection is subject to 19
the Open Government Sunset Review Act in accordance with s. 20
119.15 and shall stand repealed on October 2, 2026, unless 21
reviewed and saved from repeal through reenactment by the 22
Legislature. 23
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 24
