Sunset Review Act; amending s. 287.137, F.S., which 3

scheduled repeal date of the exemption; amending s. 8
501.2041, F.S., which provides an exemption from 9
public records requirements for certain information 10
received in investigations by the Department of Legal 11
Affairs or a law enforcement agency into violations by 12
certain social media platforms; extending the 13
scheduled repeal date of the exemption; providing an 14
effective date. 15

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 17

Section 1. Paragraph (e) of subsection (8) of section 19
287.137, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 20
287.137 Antitrust violations; denial or revocation of the 21
right to transact business with public entities; denial of 22
economic benefits.— 23

Sunset Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand 26
repealed on October 2, 2031 2026, unless reviewed and saved from 27
repeal through reenactment by the Legislature. 28
Section 2. Paragraph (e) of subsection (10) of section 29
501.2041, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 30
501.2041 Unlawful acts and practices by social media 31
platforms.— 32

(e) This subsection is subject to the Open Government 34
Sunset Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand 35
repealed on October 2, 2031 2026, unless reviewed and saved from 36
repeal through reenactment by the Legislature. 37
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 38
