1 Senate Concurrent Resolution
2 A concurrent resolution terminating the state of
3 emergency and any order, proclamation, or rule issued
4 or adopted thereunder declared by Executive Order 23
5 03.

7 WHEREAS, in response to the perceived threat of illegal
8 immigration, on January 6, 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis issued
9 Executive Order 23-03, and
10 WHEREAS, Executive Order 23-03 declared a state of
11 emergency to enable the state to address the major disaster of
12 the migration of unauthorized aliens into this state, and
13 WHEREAS, Governor Ron DeSantis has extended the declaration
14 of a state of emergency by issuing subsequent executive orders
15 as required, and
16 WHEREAS, s. 252.36(3)(a), Florida Statutes, authorizes the
17 Legislature to terminate, by concurrent resolution, a state of
18 emergency declared by the Governor, NOW, THEREFORE,

20 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida, the House
21 of Representatives Concurring:

23 That, pursuant to the authority granted to the Legislature
24 by s. 252.36(3)(a), Florida Statutes, the state of emergency
25 declared by Executive Order 23-03, as extended, is terminated.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any order, proclamation, or
27 rule issued or adopted pursuant to or in furtherance of
28 Executive Order 23-03, as extended, is terminated.
29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, as required by s.
30 252.36(3)(a), Florida Statutes, the Governor shall issue an
31 executive order terminating the state of emergency declared by
32 Executive Order 23-03, as extended.
