1 Senate Resolution
2 A resolution congratulating Naples Comprehensive
3 Health on the occasion of its 70th anniversary and
4 celebrating its decades of services to the Naples
5 community and Southwest Florida.

7 WHEREAS, in March 1956, a determined group of physicians,
8 nurses, volunteers, and community leaders united around a shared
9 belief that the people of Naples deserved exceptional health
10 care, and this group opened the doors to what would become
11 Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH), establishing not merely a
12 hospital, but a foundation for quality, compassionate care in
13 Southwest Florida, and
14 WHEREAS, what began as a single community hospital has,
15 over the course of seven decades, grown into a comprehensive,
16 nationally recognized nonprofit health system serving residents
17 and visitors throughout Southwest Florida, and
18 WHEREAS, throughout its 70-year history, NCH has
19 continually expanded access to care, invested in state-of-the
20 art diagnostic and surgical technologies, recruited nationally
21 respected physicians and clinical leaders, and strengthened
22 academic and research collaborations to elevate the quality and
23 accessibility of care in the region, and
24 WHEREAS, NCH has developed centers of excellence in
25 advanced cardiovascular and stroke care; orthopedic, pediatric,
26 and oncology services; and a wide range of specialty services
27 designed to meet the evolving needs of patients and families,
28 and
29 WHEREAS, in recent years, NCH has accelerated its
30 transformation by modernizing facilities, enhancing care
31 coordination, broadening specialty services, and building
32 systems designed to serve both current and future generations,
33 earning national recognition and reinforcing its standing as a
34 trusted provider of high-quality care, and
35 WHEREAS, for 70 years, generations of nurses, physicians,
36 therapists, technicians, administrators, support staff, and
37 volunteers have shaped NCH through their expertise, integrity,
38 and compassion, fostering a culture in which clinical excellence
39 and human connection go hand in hand, and
40 WHEREAS, families throughout the community have turned to
41 NCH in moments of uncertainty and entrusted its dedicated teams
42 with their most important health care decisions, reflecting deep
43 and enduring trust, and
44 WHEREAS, as a nonprofit health care system, NCH’s strength
45 has always been rooted not only in clinical excellence, but also
46 in the generosity and philanthropic support of donors whose
47 contributions have expanded programs, advanced technology,
48 modernized facilities, and ensured continued access to high
49 quality care, and
50 WHEREAS, reaching 70 years of continuous service represents
51 a significant milestone that reflects resilience, adaptability,
52 and an unwavering commitment to those served, and
53 WHEREAS, as NCH marks this milestone anniversary, it honors
54 the vision of its founders, recognizes the extraordinary
55 contributions of its current and past team members, and looks
56 ahead with purpose, committed to evolving with the changing
57 landscape of health care, guided by innovation, driven by
58 quality, and united in its mission to serve the community, NOW,

61 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

63 That the Florida Senate hereby congratulates Naples
64 Comprehensive Health on the occasion of its 70th anniversary,
65 celebrates its decades of service and excellence, and expresses
66 profound gratitude for its steadfast commitment to the health
67 and well-being of the Naples community and Southwest Florida.
68 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate commends the
69 leadership, medical professionals, staff, volunteers, and
70 supporters of NCH for building and sustaining an organization
71 that stands 70 years strong and is positioned to serve patients
72 and families for generations to come.
