A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING
TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII ATHLETICS

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION
1.

There is appropriated out of the
general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $8,519,341 or so much
thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2025-2026 and the same sum or so
much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2026-2027 for the program and
operations of the athletics department at the university of Hawaii, to be
allocated as follows:

$3,200,000 for each fiscal year to the
university of Hawaii at Manoa athletics department;

(2)

$800,000 for each fiscal year to make the
university of Hawaii at Hilo athletics department; and

(3)
�
$4,519,341 for each fiscal year to establish forty‑three
temporary full-time equivalent (43.0 FTE) positions at the university of Hawaii
at Manoa athletics department and provide additional support.

The sums

appropriated shall be expended by the
university of Hawaii for the purposes of this Act.

This Act shall take effect on July 1,
2025.
