1986 to 1994; and

representing a milestone for Native Hawaiian leadership and inspiring indigenous
peoples across the United States and beyond; and

governors, and foreign leaders, and elevating the State's role as a bridge

Merit; now, therefore,

RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Thirty-third Legislature of the
State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2026, that this body nominates John D.
Waihe

e III for
induction into the Aloha Order of Merit; and

RESOLVED that certified copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the members
of the Aloha Order of Merit Committee, Governor, President of the Senate,
Speaker of the House of Representatives, and former Governor John D. Waihe

e III.
