A BILL FOR AN ACT

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1.

Chapter 261, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is
amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as
follows:

Airports; zero emission vehicles.

(a)
�

The department shall plan and coordinate vehicle acquisition to
transition all motor vehicles used within airport grounds to zero emission
vehicles to meet the State's zero emissions clean economy target pursuant to section
225P-5.

(b)

For the purposes of this section, "motor
vehicle" has the same meaning as defined in section 286-2.

(c)
�
The department may adopt rules pursuant to
chapter 91 to carry out the purposes of this section.
