A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating
to feral chickens
.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION
1.
�
There is appropriated out of the
general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $200,000 or so much thereof
as may be necessary for fiscal year 2026-2027 to facilitate the collection of
feral chickens that have already been caught.
�

The appropriation shall be allocated as follows:

(1)
�
$50,000 to the city and county of Honolulu;

����
(2)
�
$50,000 to the county of Hawaii;

����
(3)
�
$50,000 to the county of Kauai; and

����
(4)
�
$50,000 to the county of Maui.

����
The sum
appropriated shall be expended by each respective county for the purposes of
this Act.

SECTION 2.
�
This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2026.
