STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating
to the department of health
.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1.
�
There is
appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $2,500,000
or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2026-2027 for the
department of health to:

(1)
�
Provide
health care and related services for persons under the custody of the director
of health who do not require hospital level of care; and

����
(2)
�
Petition
for assisted community treatment for persons under the custody of the director
of health for whom the department of health has determined an assisted
community treatment plan is appropriate.

����
The sum appropriated shall be expended by
the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

����
SECTION 2.
�
This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2026.
