Bradley Fritts SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: 625 ILCS 5/3-415.1 new Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that, upon registration of an electric vehicle, the Secretary of State shall issue a decal that distinguishes it from non-electric vehicles. Requires the owner of the electric vehicle to display the decal at the rear of the electric vehicle in a manner prescribed by the Secretary. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding 5 Section 3-415.1 as follows: 6 (625 ILCS 5/3-415.1 new) 7 Sec. 3-415.1. Electric vehicle decals. Upon registration 8 of an electric vehicle subject to Section 3-402, the Secretary 9 of State shall issue a decal that distinguishes it from 10 non-electric vehicles. The owner of the electric vehicle must 11 display the decal at the rear of the electric vehicle in a 12 manner prescribed by the Secretary.
