SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

Appropriates $50,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the
Illinois Housing Development Authority for the purpose of depositing into
the First-Generation Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Fund to provide
down payments and closing costs assistance to eligible first-generation
homebuyers, and other administrative expenses under the First-Generation
Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program. Effective July 1, 2026.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5.
The sum of $50,000,000, or so much of that
5
amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
6
Revenue Fund to the Illinois Housing Development Authority for
7
the purpose of depositing into the First-Generation Homebuyer
8
Down Payment Assistance Fund to provide down payments and
9
closing costs assistance to eligible first-generation
10
homebuyers, and other administrative expenses under the
11
First-Generation Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program.

Section 99.
Effective date.
This Act takes effect July 1,

2026.
