SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
735 ILCS 30/25-5-145 new
Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take powers may be
used by the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the effective
date of the amendatory Act for the acquisition of specified properties in
Cook County for the purpose of a public building and facility. Repeals the
provisions added by the amendatory Act 3 years after the effective date.
Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5.
The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding
5
Section 25-5-145 as follows:

(735 ILCS 30/25-5-145 new)

Sec. 25-5-145.
Quick-take; Village of Oak Park.
8
(a) Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used by
9
the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the
10
effective date of this amendatory Act of the 104th General
11
Assembly for the acquisition of the following described
12
properties for the purpose of a public building and facility:
13
3-31 Madison Street and 509 S. Humphrey Avenue (sometimes
14
known as 11 Madison Street)

PINs 16-17-107-035-0000, 16-17-107-034-0000,
16
16-17-107-004-0000, 16-17-107-003-0000, 16-17-107-002-0000,
17
16-17-107-001-0000, 16-17-106-017-0000, and

THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT

(b) This Section is repealed 3 years after the effective

date of this amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly.

Section 99.
Effective date.
This Act takes effect upon
15
becoming law.
