HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of Illinois House of Representatives
3
seek to recognize and honor individuals who have demonstrated
4
exceptional leadership, dedication, and service to their
5
communities and professions; and

6

WHEREAS, Tonya S. Hill, a resident of Catlin, has
7
exemplified these qualities through her extensive career in
8
business development, philanthropy, and community service; and

9

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill has over 35 years of professional
10
experience, including her current role as executive director
11
of the Danville Area Community College Foundation, where she
12
has provided exemplary leadership in fundraising, grant
13
development, and community engagement to support educational
14
opportunities; and

15

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill has held numerous leadership positions
16
in the financial and business sectors, including market
17
president and commercial relationship manager at Old National
18
Bank, trust officer and client advisor at Old National Trust
19
Company, and financial associate at A.G. Edwards, where she
20
demonstrated her expertise in business development, client
21
relations, and financial planning; and

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill has also contributed to the success of
2
a number of organizations, including Walgreens Corporate -
3
Accounting Office and Cellular One of East Central Illinois,
4
where she showcased her skills in management, training, and
5
operational efficiency; and

6

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill has been a tireless advocate for her
7
community, serving on numerous boards and committees,
8
including the Danville Noon Rotary Club, Vermilion Advantage,
9
WorkSource Enterprises, and the Covington Business
10
Association, among others; and

11

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill has held leadership roles in many of
12
these organizations, including serving as president of the
13
Danville Noon Rotary Club, vice chair and president of
14
WorkSource Enterprises, and treasurer of Vermilion Advantage,
15
demonstrating her commitment to improving the lives of those
16
in her community; and

17

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill's dedication to her community has been
18
further exemplified by her participation in initiatives such
19
as the "Do Something!" project to pay it forward in Vermilion
20
County and her advocacy for healthcare organizations such as
21
OSF Healthcare and Presence United Samaritan Medical Center
22
Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill has been recognized for her
2
contributions to philanthropy and community service, including
3
her involvement with the Association of Fundraising
4
Professionals, the Danville Boys & Girls Club, and the
5
Danville Library Foundation, where she has chaired numerous
6
events and initiatives; she has previously been recognized by
7
the Danville Noon Rotary Club as a Paul Harris Fellow, and she
8
is to receive the 2025 Vocational Service Award; and

9

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill's leadership, vision, and unwavering
10
commitment to her community have made a lasting impact on the
11
lives of countless individuals and organizations; and

12

WHEREAS, Tonya Hill is a proud graduate of Eastern
13
Illinois University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in
14
Career and Organizational Studies, and Danville Area Community
15
College, where she earned an Associate in Applied Science and
16
was recognized as Secretary of the Year in 1993; therefore, be
17
it

18

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20
we commend Tonya S. Hill for her outstanding contributions to
21
her community and her profession, and we extend our heartfelt
22
gratitude for her service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to Tonya Hill as a token of our esteem and
