HOUSE RESOLUTION
2
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives wish to congratulate the Trimpe Middle School
4
seventh grade girls basketball team, the Eagles, on the
5
occasion of winning the 2025 Illinois Elementary School
6
Association (IESA) Class 7-4A State Championship; and
7
WHEREAS, The IESA hosts 19 state final events each year,
8
involving over 500,000 student-athletes participating in a
9
number of activities across Illinois; and
10
WHEREAS, The Eagles of Bethalto won the IESA Class 7-4A
11
State Tournament at Morton Junior High School in Morton on
12
December 11, 2025; and
13
WHEREAS, The Eagles, in winning the state title, clearly
14
demonstrated Bethalto Community Unit School District #8's
15
mission statement of "Whatever It Takes"; and
16
WHEREAS, The members of the Eagles include Peyton Earle,
17
Jordyn Falk, Kamryn Gruebner, Lauren Gruen, Reagan Hendrix,
18
Addy Henke, Maddie Hinthorne, Niley Kilpatrick, Eden Lloyd,
19
Alice McKelley, Chloe Mills, Zoey Nailor, and Lily Stewart;

and

WHEREAS, The Eagles are guided by Head Coach Madisyn
2
Sheraka and Assistant Coach Jeff Ochs; and
3
WHEREAS, Winning a state championship is a significant
4
achievement that highlights the excellence young athletes
5
strive for, and the Eagles' success not only celebrates the
6
hard work and dedication of the team's student-athletes, but
7
also showcases the commitment and teamwork fostered by the
8
coaching staff along with the support from the players'
9
families and the community; therefore, be it
10
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12
we congratulate the Trimpe Middle School seventh grade girls
13
basketball team, the Eagles, on winning the 2025 Illinois
14
Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 7-4A State
15
Championship; and be it further
16
RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
17
presented to the players and coaches of the Eagles as a symbol
18
of our esteem and respect.
