HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives wish to congratulate Wade Krohn on the
4
occasion of his 100th birthday on February 20, 2026; and

5

WHEREAS, Wade Krohn was born on February 20, 1926; he was
6
raised on a farm in Will County; he served in the United States
7
Army Air Corps during World War II from 1945 to 1946, working
8
as a mechanic for B-25 bombers and other equipment on Alaska's
9
Aleutian Islands; and

10

WHEREAS, Wade Krohn worked for Lincoln-Way High School,
11
retiring after 30 years of service; he served as a volunteer
12
for the New Lenox Fire Department for 15 years; and

13

WHEREAS, Wade Krohn is a charter member and only living
14
founding member of VFW Harry Anderson Post 9545 in New Lenox;
15
he is also a lifetime member of New Lenox Sportsman's Club, and
16
he serves on the board of directors for the New Lenox Area
17
Historical Society; and

18

WHEREAS, Wade Krohn was the husband of the late Evelyn and
19
is the father of Rex, Guy, Zoe, Lee, Ken, Ann, Ted, Kay, Joy,
20
and Jon; he is the grandfather of 20 and the great-grandfather
21
of 12; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
2
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

we congratulate Wade Krohn on his 100th birthday on February
4
20, 2026; and be it further

5

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6
presented to Wade Krohn as an expression of our esteem and
7
respect.
