HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives wish to congratulate the La Harpe Junior High
4
School/Dallas City Elementary School Co-op eighth grade girls
5
basketball team, the Lady Eagles, on winning the 2025 Illinois
6
Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 8-1A State
7
Championship; and

8

WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles defeated the Oakland Lake Crest
9
Elementary School eighth grade girls basketball team, the
10
Titans, with a score of 35 to 27; and

11

WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles completed the season with a
12
record of 25 wins and 2 losses; and

13

WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles are now back-to-back state
14
champions, having previously won the 2024 IESA Class 7-1A
15
State Championship; and

16

WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles are led by Head Coach Dave Clover
17
and Assistant Coach Jacki Wibbell; and

18

WHEREAS, The 2025 Lady Eagles are Payton Doss, Jamie
19
Heath, Alyssa Marsden, Madi McCarter, Alex Miller, Journey
20
Miller, Reagan Pindell, Kinley Thompson, Aly Wibbell, and Maci

Wibbell; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

we congratulate the La Harpe Junior High School/Dallas City
5
Elementary School Co-op eighth grade girls basketball team,
6
the Lady Eagles, on winning the 2025 Illinois Elementary
7
School Association (IESA) Class 8-1A State, and we wish its
8
players and coaches continued success; and be it further

9

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
10
presented to the coaches and players of the Lady Eagles as an
11
expression of our respect and esteem.
