HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Teryn
4
Robinson, who passed away on January 30, 2026; and

5

WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson attended Millikin University,
6
where she pursued an undergraduate degree in English; she
7
furthered her pursuit of knowledge at the graduate school of
8
Illinois State University in Normal, receiving master's
9
degrees in English studies and college student personnel
10
administration; and

11

WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson worked for Saint Xavier
12
University, Lake Forest College, and most recently, Loyola
13
University Chicago; she brought her scintillating and magnetic
14
personality to every institution that had the privilege of
15
hosting her, and Loyola was last to enjoy this privilege,
16
where she served as assistant director for advising
17
technologies in first and second year advising due to her
18
critical thinking skills and dedication to student
19
improvement; and

20

WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson went above and beyond her duties
21
at Loyola and was involved in University Senate, QUEST
22
mentoring, and the LUC Pride Network Affinity Group; she

emphasized collaboration and candor in her interactions with
2
students and colleagues and made sure that all who had the
3
pleasure of crossing her path felt the warmth and creativity
4
she worked so hard to foster in her community; and

5

WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson was committed not only to her
6
profession but to her loved ones as well; she married Anne
7
Fisher in 2008, with whom she had their only son, Simon, in
8
2012; she was an eclectic and passionate individual who
9
immersed herself in urban planning, women's soccer, Star Trek,
10
and most importantly, her son, of whom she could not be
11
prouder; therefore, be it

12

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14
we mourn the passing of Teryn Robinson and extend our
15
sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
16
and loved her; and be it further

17

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18
presented to the family of Teryn Robinson as an expression of
19
our deepest sympathy.
