HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
4
Christopher E. Carlson of New Lenox, who passed away on
5
November 24, 2025; and

6

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson was born to Norma Jean
7
(Yucik) and Lester E. Carlson Jr. on September 30, 1969; and

8

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson was married to his wife,
9
Pagee Carlson, for 35 years; and

10

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson began his career in law
11
enforcement in 1993, Badge #243, and served the residents of
12
Mokena for more than 30 years; and

13

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson served as a patrol officer
14
and DARE instructor and achieved the ranks of detective and
15
sergeant before becoming commander of the Mokena Police
16
Department, where he oversaw the daily operations; and

17

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson retired in 2024, closing a
18
distinguished 30-year career marked by dedication and
19
professionalism; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson enjoyed golf, softball,
2
coaching his children, helping friends and family with
3
household projects, and cooking for his family; and

4

WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson will be missed by his wife,
5
Pagee Carlson; his children, Nicole (Brian) Adamowski, Kayla
6
Carlson (Joe Suppes), Cassie (Jeffrey Jr.) Stucke, and Jake
7
Carlson; his grandchildren, Aubree, Mia, Makenzie, Jackson,
8
Chelsea, and Natalie; his siblings, Karen (Greg) Laurenzana,
9
Bill (Colleen) Gammon, Dian Cerniuk, Sandy (Bob) Banas, and
10
Jim Carlson; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousin, friends,
11
and a grateful state and nation; therefore, be it

12

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14
we mourn the passing of Christopher E. Carlson and extend our
15
sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
16
and loved him; and be it further

17

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
18
presented to the family of Christopher Carlson and the Mokena
19
Police Department as an expression of our sympathy and
20
gratitude for his service.
