HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Boaz
4
Isaiah "Bo" Flemister, who passed away on February 19, 2026;
5
and

6

WHEREAS, Boaz Flemister, the son of Angela Hongo and Ruben
7
Flemister, was born on October 30, 2008; he was baptized at
8
Valley Kingdom Ministries under the leadership of H. Daniel
9
Wilson at eight years of age; he attended Kiddie Kastle, It
10
Takes a Village Christian Academy, and Joseph Warren
11
Elementary, graduating in 2023 and matriculating to Motion
12
Creative Arts Charter School, where he was a junior; and

13

WHEREAS, Boaz Flemister contributed to his community in
14
many ways, including as a member of Vessels of Praise, in his
15
work for the Gyrls in the H.O.O.D. Foundation, and through his
16
service as a counselor in training for Holiday Home Camp,
17
where he had devoted his time since seventh grade; his career
18
goal was to become a real estate agent; and

19

WHEREAS, Boaz Flemister was a talented dancer who enjoyed
20
fashion and joking with his siblings; and

21

WHEREAS, Boaz Flemister was a member of Final Phaze Dance

Team, Astronaut Flee Dance Team, Empiire Dance Institute, and
2
Demolition Squad; his dance career took him to numerous arenas
3
nationwide, where he won many competitions, including Dianna
4
Williams Buck or Die; he appeared in two national videos for
5
rapper and dancer DLOW and was preparing to perform at
6
Disneyland's Dance the Dream event; and

7

WHEREAS, Boaz Flemister will be remembered for his
8
passionate, loving personality and the joy he brought to those
9
around him; and

10

WHEREAS, Boaz Flemister is survived by his mother; his
11
brothers, Brian Ross, Jarius Hongo, and Jeremiah Mack; his
12
sisters, Jordonea Hongo and Tenisha Hongo; his uncle, Deacon
13
Gordon Dennis Jr.; his aunt, Dr. April Dennis-Mack; his
14
nephews, Macaire Ross, Ja'Shaun Hongo, and Dyreon Lemons; and
15
his nieces, Brali Ross and Dyranisha Lemons; therefore, be it

16

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
17
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18
we mourn the passing of Boaz Isaiah "Bo" Flemister and extend
19
our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who
20
knew and loved him; and be it further

21

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22
presented to the family of Boaz Flemister as an expression of
