HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives wish to commend Alpha and Omega Construction
4
of Salem and Lowe's Home Improvement for their willingness to
5
go above and beyond to help veterans and their families in need
6
of roofing repairs; and

7

WHEREAS, Supporting the men and women who have served in
8
the United States military and their families is a
9
responsibility shared by all citizens, and ensuring that
10
veterans and their families have safe and secure housing is of
11
the utmost importance; and

12

WHEREAS, Alpha and Omega Construction demonstrated
13
extraordinary generosity by providing free labor to replace
14
the roofs of five families in need; and

15

WHEREAS, Lowe's also demonstrated outstanding corporate
16
citizenship by donating roofing materials to complete these
17
projects, making it possible for these families to receive
18
critical home repairs at no cost; and

19

WHEREAS, The partnership between Alpha and Omega
20
Construction and Lowe's reflects the highest ideals of
21
compassion and community service and sets an example for

others to follow; and

WHEREAS, Through their combined efforts and support from
3
other members of the community, five families now benefit from
4
improved living conditions, reflecting the respect and
5
appreciation owed to those who have served our nation;

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9
we commend Alpha and Omega Construction of Salem and Lowe's
10
Home Improvement for their willingness to go above and beyond
11
to help veterans and their families in need of roofing
12
repairs; and be it further

13

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14
presented to Alpha and Omega Construction and Lowe's Home
15
Improvement as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
