HOUSE RESOLUTION
2
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives wish to congratulate John T. Dabrowski on the
4
occasion of his retirement after an incredible career in
5
public service; and
6
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski was elected as Township Assessor
7
of Bloomingdale Township in 2009, a position he held for five
8
terms; and
9
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski began his career as a field
10
inspector in 2002, eventually becoming chief deputy assessor
11
of the residential division, with his expertise stemming from
12
his background in real estate as a holder of a real estate
13
broker's license, and he also possesses an electrical
14
contractor's license; and
15
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski has also served as president of
16
the Illinois Property Assessment Institute and on the boards
17
of directors for the Illinois Assessors' Association and the
18
Township Officials of Illinois; and
19
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski has been extremely active in his
20
community, where he has served as president of the Fairfield
21
Homeowners Association Board of Directors, a board member and

president of the Roselle Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and
2
an active member of various other local chambers of commerce,
3
including in the communities of Bloomingdale, Carol Stream,
4
and Glendale Heights; and
5
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski has always passionately assisted
6
his local community, previously serving on the Bloomingdale
7
Planning Commission, the Bloomingdale Old Town Commission, the
8
Bloomingdale Family Fest Committee, and as a village trustee
9
in 1999, 2003, and 2007; and
10
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski has also been active in local
11
politics as a member of the Bloomingdale Township Republican
12
Party since 1996, serving as party chairman; and
13
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski is highly revered by his peers,
14
being named Ambassador of the Year by the Glendale Heights
15
Chamber of Commerce in 2009, Business Person of the Year by the
16
Roselle Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2010, and Member of
17
the Year by the Chicagoland Italian American Charitable
18
Organization (CIACO) in 2021; and
19
WHEREAS, John Dabrowski, outside of work, enjoys
20
traveling, golfing, and cooking for his friends and family;
21
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
2
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3
we congratulate John T. Dabrowski on his retirement from
4
public service, and we wish him the best of luck in his future
5
endeavors; and be it further
6
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7
presented to John Dabrowski as a symbol of our esteem and
8
respect.
