HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3
Representatives wish to congratulate the Morrison High School
4
boys track and field team, the Mustangs, on winning the
5
2025-2026 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A
6
State Championship; and

7

WHEREAS, The Mustangs' record-breaking 4x200-meter relay
8
team included members Brady Anderson, Josh McDearmon, Levi
9
Milder, and Kolyin Swaim, and these exemplary athletes also
10
achieved first place in the 4x100-meter relay; and

11

WHEREAS, The Mustangs' 4x200-meter relay team met further
12
success in individual events, with Brady Anderson being named
13
state champion in the 200-meter and 100-meter races, Josh
14
McDearmon achieving fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles, and
15
Levi Milder attaining fifth place in the 100-meter race; and

16

WHEREAS, The Mustangs' 2025-2026 roster also included
17
Corbin Allen, Xavier Baldwin, Kolten Eads, Ethan Farrands,
18
Brevin Houzenga, Leland Kramer, Bryan Kuehl, Maximus North,
19
Waylong Phelps, Charles Prius, Noah Stout, Evan White, and
20
Jaxon Yaklich; together, these athletes formed an integral
21
foundation for the team's successful season; and

WHEREAS, The Mustangs were led by Head Coach Kevin Kilker
2
in his final year at Morrison High School and Assistant
3
Coaches Jason McDearmon and Koby Brackemeyer; and

4

WHEREAS, The Mustangs' success was the product of its
5
members' concentration, dedication, and unwavering faith in
6
themselves and each other; therefore, be it

7

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8
HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9
we congratulate the Morrison High School boys track and field
10
team, the Mustangs, on winning the 2025-2026 Illinois High
11
School Association (IHSA) Class 1A State Championship, and we
12
wish its members future success in their athletic and academic
13
pursuits; and be it further

14

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
15
presented to the coaches and members of the Morrison High
16
School boys track and field team as a symbol of our respect and
17
esteem.
