SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
20 ILCS 2105/2105-15.6 new
Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil
Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that, by no later than January
1, 2027, the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall
develop, obtain, arrange for, or contract with a vendor to provide an
automated continuing education tracking system that can be used by the
Department to track compliance with any continuing education requirements
for the renewal of a license. Provides that the amendatory Act applies to
an application for renewal of a license that is received by the Department
on or after January 1, 2027. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5.
The Department of Professional Regulation Law
5
of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6
adding Section 2105-15.6 as follows:

(20 ILCS 2105/2105-15.6 new)

Sec. 2105-15.6.
Continuing education; automated tracking
9
system.

(a) By no later than January 1, 2027, the Department shall
11
develop, obtain, arrange for, or contract with a vendor to
12
provide an automated continuing education tracking system that
13
can be used by the Department to track compliance with any
14
continuing education requirements for the renewal of a
15
license.
16
(b) The Department may adopt rules or take any
17
administrative action necessary for the implementation of this
18
Section.

(c) This Section applies to an application for renewal of
20
a license that is received by the Department on or after
21
January 1, 2027.

Section 99.
Effective date.
This Act takes effect upon
