SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

5 ILCS 430/5-70 new

Amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act. Provides that no
State employee may receive monetary or other compensation from any private
party for work performed within the scope of his or her employment by a
State agency. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5.
The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is

amended by adding Section 5-70 as follows:

(5 ILCS 430/5-70 new)

Sec. 5-70.
Private pay for public work; prohibited.
No

State employee may receive monetary or other compensation from

any private party for work performed within the scope of his or

her employment by a State agency.

Section 99.
Effective date.
This Act takes effect upon

becoming law.
