SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
2
WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois General
3
Assembly pays honor and respect to those individuals who have
4
given their lives in service to their country; and
5
WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski was born in Pinckneyville to Janie
6
(Lee) Sroka-Meier on September 2, 1981; she married Robert M.
7
Bolinski in St. Bruno Catholic Church on November 4, 2017; and
8
WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski served with the United States Army,
9
657th Transportation Company, 419th Transportation Battalion,
10
103rd Sustainment Command, Mt. Vernon as a unit administrator;
11
and
12
WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski's awards and decorations include
13
the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal,
14
the Army Achievement Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the
15
Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Reserve Components
16
Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the
17
Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Global War
18
on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal
19
with Mobilization Device, the Noncommissioned Officers
20
Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the
21
Overseas Service Ribbon with Numeral 2, the Basic Marksmanship
22
Qualification Badge Expert with Rifle Bar, the Meritorious

Unit Commendation (Army), and the Overseas Service Bar; and
2
WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski was a loving wife and mother and
3
enjoyed crocheting, being outdoors, cutting the grass,
4
cleaning her cars, and gardening; and
5
WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski passed away on March 5, 2019 while
6
serving her country in Kuwait; therefore, be it
7
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
8
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF
9
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate Illinois
10
Route 13 from the eastern limits of the Village of
11
Coulterville to the western limits of the Village of
12
Pinckneyville as the "Sgt. Holli R. Bolinski Memorial Road";
13
and be it further
14
RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation
15
is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with
16
State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs
17
giving notice of the name "Sgt. Holli R. Bolinski Memorial
18
Road"; and be it further
19
RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
20
presented to the family of Sgt. Bolinski, the mayor of

Pinckneyville, and the Secretary of the Illinois Department of
2
Transportation.
