SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Senate Joint Resolution 103 of the 89th General

Assembly provided in part that "the part of U.S. Route 14 that
4
is within the State of Illinois and is currently known as the
5
Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway";
6
and

WHEREAS, The General Assembly chooses to amend that
8
designation; therefore, be it

9

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
10
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF
11
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the part of U.S. Route
12
14 that is within the State of Illinois and is known as the
13
Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway,
14
with the exception of the portion of U.S. Route 14 that lies
15
between Broadway and Ridge Avenue (also known as Ridge
16
Boulevard); and be it further

17

RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation
18
is directed to alter or remove signs, markers, or plaques that
19
were placed in accordance with Senate Joint Resolution 103 of
20
the 89th General Assembly to the extent that the alteration or
21
removal is necessary to conform to the amended designation;
22
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to

the Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation.
