SENATE RESOLUTION
2
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3
to learn of the death of Marcia Ann (Weber) Rosenthal, who
4
passed away on April 12, 2026; and
5
WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal, the daughter of Ivan and Claire
6
Mae (Prose) Weber, was born in Springfield on July 25, 1952;
7
she graduated from Morrisonville Community High School in
8
1970; she married Wayne A. Rosenthal at St. Maurice Catholic
9
Church in Morrisonville on February 12, 1972; and
10
WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal worked at Fiat Allis, the
11
Illinois Department of Corrections-Juvenile Division, and Top
12
Drawer by Sarah Adele in Taylorville; she also served as an
13
EMT-B for the Morrisonville Community Ambulance Service for 38
14
years, where she held various board member positions,
15
including president; and
16
WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal served as a board member for St.
17
Maurice Catholic School, where she sang in the choir and
18
advocated for children; she volunteered at the Christian
19
County Medical Clinic in Morrisonville and for the Legion
20
Auxiliary; she also served as a trustee for the Board of the
21
Village of Morrisonville and as a member of the
22
Christian/Shelby County 911 board for many years; and

WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal was a talented seamstress who
2
made alterations to daily clothes, special event dresses, and
3
wedding attire; she enjoyed traveling, and her greatest joy
4
came from spending time with her children and grandchildren;
5
and
6
WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal was a friend to all, and her
7
truest passion was helping others; and
8
WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal was preceded in death by her
9
parents and her sister, Arlene Kay Montgomery; and
10
WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal is survived by her husband of 54
11
years, Wayne; her sons, Dustin (Brooke) Rosenthal, Sean
12
(Sarah) Rosenthal, and Casey (Kelsey) Rosenthal; seven
13
grandchildren with one on the way; many nieces and nephews;
14
her cousins; and her special friends; therefore, be it
15
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
16
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17
Marcia Ann (Weber) Rosenthal and extend our sincere
18
condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
19
her; and be it further
20
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to the family of Marcia Rosenthal as an expression
2
of our deepest sympathy.
