SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3
congratulate Bartlett Hills Golf Club and Banquets on the
4
occasion of its 100th anniversary; and

5

WHEREAS, Bartlett Hills Golf Club, located at 800 West
6
Oneida Avenue in Bartlett, officially opened on September 6,
7
1926; and

8

WHEREAS, Bartlett Hills Golf Club, an 18-hole course, was
9
designed by Charles E. Maddox, with horses and mules being
10
used to move the earth, build greens, and level fairways; and

11

WHEREAS, Bartlett Hills Golf Club was initially private
12
and for members only, and its clubhouse was a barn once
13
intended for members' horses, which served golfers until it
14
was razed in 1995; and

15

WHEREAS, On February 25, 1978, Bartlett Hills Golf Club's
16
743-acre property was approved for purchase by voters of the
17
Village of Bartlett through a referendum; and

18

WHEREAS, Bartlett Hills Golf Club has continually
19
undergone improvements to its course over the years, with a
20
new clubhouse being built in addition to banquet facilities in

1997; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
3
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the
4
Bartlett Hills Golf Club and Banquets on achieving its 100th
5
anniversary; and be it further

6

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7
presented to Bartlett Hills Golf Club as an expression of our
8
esteem and respect.
